That Irrevocable Moment

I did not see her
approaching; knew not
our paths must intersect,
yet deep in my bones had
been anticipating
that irrevocable
moment of entry
into one another's
story since before I
knew there was such a thing
as Time.

She's young, far younger than
I could have expected,
though she navigates
by way of profoundly
instinctive intuition;
footsteps of her nimble
mind resounding deeply
with rhythms of ancient
soul.

Together we step
into country where maps
must continually
be re-imagined, where
impossible wonders
cross into spheres of
daily experience;
where we discover that
to dream hand-in-hand
is to prophesy, to
speak new worlds into
being.
