The Precipice

Out beyond
horizons of
consciousness, of
sanity, of
reality, of
possibility, dwells
wild, vibrant
transcendent
disproportionate
life:

swimming in ocean
of unseen visions;
stalking white slopes
of pages yet unwritten;
walking endless paths
through lands no map
could conceive to
portray, where no
spirit nor matter can
be caged, no idea nor
ideal ever shackled.

Come with me, as
close to the
precipice as mind
and body will bear.
Let the Unimagined
look into your
eyes, the Unanticipated
breathe into your
lungs, the Impossible
speak into your
soul.

But be warned: you
will return bearing
perspective able no
longer to be contained
within foundations that
heretofore defined
existence.  Ever
more discontent with
small, practical
ambitions, you will
become vessel filled
beyond brim with haunted
inspiration, blood set
aflame with formative
yearning.

not rest until it
conceives pure, undiluted
expression: singular clarion
note to summon the
future into becoming,
into being.
